hyun sometimes thought being the older one was a fun thing. turns out, not so much. If haein is the twin, who constantly and always have things to say in return that he could not fight back to. she is, ultimately, the brain out of the two. which sucks even more. he can't use the "hey im still older than you" line just because she would call him grandpa in return. at some point, he often just caves in to haein. maybe somehow, that would be a good thing to be looked at.at first, hyun was not so sure which life he would prefer more, the wizarding world or the other. He was exposed firstly to magic when his mother would do some simple water bending to entertain and distract him from making trouble. It grew in him on how much he wished he could do some elemental bending as well. To be able to bend water, earth, fire and air. just the thought of being able to bend any of them made him excited.his father, however, did not really want him to forget his human roots as well. Thus enrolling him and haein to muggle school, not that he was against it. he loved being around people, living the double life. a life where he could get praises if he were to do well in his muggle school by his father, and a life where he would get praises for magic by his mother. both worlds had their pros and cons, and hyun did not exactly mind the differences.when he and haein was enrolled to mahoutokuro school of magic, he was obviously just on par with his magic skills. he often catches his sister sneaking some of their parents' magic book back home, so her skills were not exactly fit of a rookie. it is nice, to have someone to teach him when he does not really get it.hyun exceptionally could not keep his excitement when he heard the news of crixia's institute of magical arts are opening their gates again. finally, he was able to achieve his little dream of being able to bend one of the four elementals. the history of their parents being the alums of school is a pressure, surely.he knows he would love the studies of elementals, so he is not that worried.
